I recently purchased a 'migsel' side stand on ebay, it arrived, I fitted it, and the angle is completely wrong. sticks out almost horizontally. I emailed Michel (of migsel) and he confirmed it was a poor copy. I relayed this information to the seller who agreed to have it returned for a refund. I sent it back, and it has simply been relisted, though now with the word 'type' in the title instead of genuine. Seller is refusing to note in her description that the stand needs significant modification to work for the bike its advertised for (R100GS paralever). Im still waiting for my refund.

If anyone on here is bidding on it, be aware.

bloody hell. somebody just paid an awful lot for a dead duck. i suspect she will be getting that sent back to her (again).

hope it wasnt any of you lot.

If you tell Ebay its a counterfeit, they are usually pretty quick to re-fund you and shut the seller down.

I reported it as counterfeit as soon as I saw it had been relisted. They didnt respond or take the new listing down.

Ive had my refund, just a shame someone else has been shafted now.

I bought this item, & took me about 30 mins with a bit of heat and welding got it to fit no problem, in fact I reckon its made better than an original one, all depends on your knowledge & skill set s'pose
dead easy to whinge that it doesn't fit without a bit of effort.. thats why it is cheap

whinge? piss off tony. it wasn’t cheap when i bought it, and i expected it to be right.

if you got it for sweeties, knowing it needed work and were happy to do it then well done you, but that’s a different kettle of fish to being taken for a mug.

Oh Aye two posts and all of a sudden you are an expert?

I think the expression is GWAN !!

Dick!

If it's advertised as to fit then you shouldn;t have to adapt it !

£195 cheap?

I shall stick with my original one. I can set it and it springs of it's own accord! Never had a problem or seen a need to pay a small fortune for a shiney one!
