Just test rode the new 1100 Africa Twin - fun, fun, fun

I think they're great.

After farkling my 'cheap' Africa Twin, it has cost me easily over £21,000 (dual wheelsets)

My BMW R1200GS Adventure has also cost me over £21,000 (dual wheelsets)

Bikes are NOT cheap, but both are absolutely unique to me and I think they're great.

£42k F### me.

That’s just bragging, you can buy and run very nice bikes way , way cheaper than that.

2019 going for 0% on pcp 2020 5.9% which one would you go for?
£11999 against £13000.

Plus my farkled Bandit 1250 Streetfighter.... closer to £50k :D

Probably got £25,000 worth of bikers kit and accessories. Helmets, gloves, boots, protective gear, tools, suits, gps units, cameras, wheelsets, security, .... all adds up :D

Yeah, and I have in the recent past....

Triumph Daytona 675R cost me £9000 + farkles
ZZR1400 Performance Sport cost me £13000 + farkles
Honda VFR1200F cost me £12000 + farkles
plus others

BUT Adventure Bikes are a farklers heaven so have typically cost the most.

I need to list mine in the FOR SALE section, fully farkled, its also now wearing sergeant seats and the shite suspension has gone and fitted with ohlins and k-tech.

If that’s true then it sounds like Adventure bikes and their riders have become the new Harley D then ............. IF that’s true.

Must be true if you say so.... :D

You must spend a small fortune on your bikes as well, so I'm not the only one :D

I do like to add a few bits and bobs, but certainly wouldn’t spend double the cost of the bike on trinkets.

I'm a throwback then.....I've fitted an XRA screen....that's it. What an embarrassment I am to AdvBike farklers. (Unless new tyres count)

Look at Davey B's post above, plenty of hardly used 2018 / 2019 ATAS for well under £10k. That's most of your immediate depreciation taken care of at someone else's expense.
