Hi,

On my 2019 1250GS, I'm replacing the plastic bit which the numberplate screws into. This piece is screwed into underneath the passenger seat and has bolts like the one below. There's no nut or anything.
Do these need to be re-tightened with a torque wrench and if so, to what torque? Or do I just do them as tight as I can (within reason)?

Thanks
Can't get image to show in page so just a link to it - sorry!

It would never have occurred to me to torque them up. Just a bit of sympathy, then a final tweak. It's never failed... yet...

If this is the bolt you're referring to, I believe its 8Nm
It bolts into the subframe.

Thanks; I’ll go through that and try and work out which one it could be. 👍

😀 I think the potential embarrassment outweighs any short cuts
