Moto Guzzi Convert. Anybody owned one of these and can give me an honest review. I’ve started imagining I need to own one after being fascinated by the idea 40 years ago.

Terrible fuel consumption.. 30 MPG

OK for very moderate riding, power zapped by transmission..

Rode OK

Definitely different..

Had I of been working & not suffering from various medical issues, I would never of sold mine..

Nice looking bike. Thanks for heads up on fuel consumption.

As Ash eluded to, it does enjoy a drop of the volatile stuff...

Worth it though, it's different, I like different...:)

I had one for a few years. A bit slow to get going, but fine once they get up to speed. An acquired taste perhaps, but I loved mine. Very reliable once sorted. Low to mid 40s mpg touring.

Bought it to accompany some friends on Loopframes to Mandello. So nice I kept it much longer than I intended, and only sold it, as I wasn't using it much because I owned 4 bikes.

Thanks for the replies and photos.
I have 5 bikes at the moment. All shaft drive twins. 2 BMW’s, 2 velocettes and a modern V7.
Despite at the time (1980) thinking my 100/7 was far better than my mates T3 I’m still enjoying the V7 and hankering back to a rose tinted past.
I still have the 100/7 so want to see what 40 years has done to my 1980 comparison.
Hence me asking for a few opinions before I decide what to do next.
