1981 G/S makeover.

Ready to start....

Received the last (hopefully) delivery from Motorworks today. So it’s ready to go, everything works except the indicators. It’s turning over on the button, but resisted the temptation to start it tonight. So tomorrow is the big day.

Video the big startup please :)

I see that you have the rear shock up the right way...adjuster at the top.:thumb2

OK it wasn’t really like this. It just wouldn’t start. After much deliberating the bean can was changed, and the float on the LH carb was re set......then it started. Timing set, carbs set. Yeh it lives. The paintwork is still at the painters, once I have that it’s done.

Great to see it running now Col :thumby:

Nice way to occupy your time during the lockdown.

It’s all done...

I picked up the paint from Dream Machine this morning and as usual they did a great job. So the bike is now finished.
I bought this bike as a Covid project and because I didn’t have a G/S in my collection. It was built it as a keeper, however I have acquired an all original low mileage G/S in Henna Rot (red). This is a very special and rare bike, so my Covid project has to go. So if anyone is interested in the bike drop me a PM. It will be advertised on Car and Classic this weekend.

I think I have discovered a slight flaw Colin.

Other than this the bike is absolutely stunning in every way

The J on the plate is nearer the M than the P

I am only joking of course :D:D= its beautiful :thumby::thumby::thumby::clap:clap

Absolutely stunning. A credit to you Tetley.
I would love it, but I think it would be outside my price range (and the fact I have 2 bikes in the garage, and a project in bits to finish)

GLWTS

SOLD

Yep it’s on it’s way to a new home. Thanks to all for following the thread.
I can now start the next one R100S 1980.
