Shrouds, what shrouds ?

Sorry i was looking at the Guzzi block in the background ;)

Were those caps on the top of the forks chromed? (They were on my R60 and were replaced by plastic caps on my R80.) Did BMW get into cheese paring mode and cut the chrome between the two? It's starting to look awful nice by the way. :drool

Chromed on my old r75/6...

Feckin unbelievable Mikey, what a difference, respect to your skills young sir :bow

What gorgeous patina. In these uncertain times might it not be more cost-effective to get it mechanically spot-on, clean it and sell it? The new owner might then be more inclined to ride it to St. Tropez and back, rather than riding a freshly restored one to St. Tropez and back and wiping £4-5,000 off its value.

You are welcome Mike, glad we all made it work out in the end, and Anne is really looking forward to seeing the finished product. post mikeyboy magic :)

Really going to follow this one with added interest. My Dad was on the phone last night saying she had a tearful farewell to Peter's "pet" yesterday.

There is a bit of a story behind this bike :)
