Hi all - Looking to buy first GSA

Hi All,
I am based in Frodsham, Cheshire and just wanted to introduce myself.

I am considering buying a F800 GSA as a commuter bike for trips into Manchester a couple of times a week and for some runs out at the weekend.

It would be my first bike, hence looking towards the 800 and not the 850 or the 1250!

Any advice on the sweetspot for age and spec of this model before I go looking.

There seem to be GS, GSA, T and TE versions and it all gets rather confusing.

I can't advise on the 800, but someone will be along with info.

You could always become a subscriber (£12 a year) which gives you access to the entire site including the specific bike model section & there you'll find tonnes of info.

What ever you get , if the suspension isn't up to much i know where you can get it sorted

Hiya James, welcome to the forum. I'm not a million miles from you (Rainhill) and also work out Manchester way, Wilmslow to be precise. Can't help you with bike selection, but if you fancy a ride-out some time drop me a PM. I've a R1100GS, and my sisters fella has a R1200GS.
