Offset seat lowering bungs

Cymarc sell these seat height lowering doo-dahs, quality and made in uk, check out cymarc's website, I had some on my first gs cost about 20 quidish

If you use them to lower the seat doesn’t it tip you forward? I have to run the front high and the back low to make the seat flat, otherwise it is fairly uncomfortable.

I’ve had a pair (Chinese) on my bike for a couple of thousand miles now. Work well, you don’t feel like you are tipped fwd at all and they make a nice subtle difference to the seat height. I will always buy quality where it matters, but for a bit of rubber hidden the seat, it’s a no brainer.

With the rt mount on high setting and the rear of the seat on low it gives a totally flat seat profile so you do not slip forward into the tank.
Bought mine used for about £10 and it has been on two r1200gsa wc bikes , combine it with the offset front rubbers and you can have the seat nose high or use it with the offset front rubbers and the rear of the seat high it again gives a flat seat profile just taller

Can I just check with you that its an RTW? I bought a second hand bracket (Item 1 on the image) and plastic (item 6) and the plastic mount is the same, and the bracket 8531287 ADJUSTING PLATE FOR SEAT, FRONT is slightly lower than the GS.

I measured the GS setup and its 6.8degrees and with the RT is 6.5 so lower at the front (both set on high).

Am I missing something ?

This might help.
Here are a few pics of the chinese copy compared to the standard one.
Both these have the offset bungs fitted.
As you can see it makes a fair bit of difference.
Copy on the left.

One I have is RT WC and because there is no offset on the bracket (part 1) when on the bike on the high setting it definitely lifts the nose of the seat.

I've used it on two r1200gsa's and it stops you slipping forward onto the tank

This is the two side by side, the GS is the shiny one.

The RT one is lower.
