Folks,
Brian at Mototech has hung up his spanners and Billy at BMC is not open at present. Any recommendations for R1200GS servicing in co.Down/ Armagh ?? I’d like to avoid the sole main dealer.....

Must give Billy a ring....haven’t heard from him from a while. He was talking about going in a different direction lately.
 
Why avoid Dealer ? Definitely.much improved from the exit of Herr Flick!

Don't be expecting an answer to a phonecall outside normal working hours

Oh and DEFINITELY Don't call on a Sunday! We've been chatting a lot through the pandemic thing and he's doing okay and adapting his plans

Free time with his Missus is now sacred and I wholly agree It used to piss me off getting calls at 10 O'Clock at night or on my one day off

The bikes at 35000. Just an annual service, fluids, new tyres, check the drive shaft and fit the 12v socket I got from Motorworks (BMW retrofit kit). I’ve just repainted the front engine cover and fitted Keihan headers.
 
What about McCrums in Portadown. he was offering a service pre-covid where he collected-serviced-left back.

and there's also the place where Geoff Kernohan's used to be.

i know Billy at BMC was shielding the last time we spoke and was working on Rod's old ST70.
 
Rather than go to any bike shop, I thought there would have been a few more BMW specialist out there in our fair land. Ah well, it was worth asking. Hopefully it’s got people back in touch with Billy. All the best...
 
Kevin a mate of mine just got his abs replaced and a service from a guy working out of the commercial units oposite the Ivanhoe Hotel near Carryduff. He wasnt hard to pay and seemed to know his stuff.
Send me a pm ( i cant figure out hiw to pm on the phone! )
I took a pic of his invoice with his details on it.
His bike was a 2005 1200gs.
