Exhaust cooking indicator...

I changed my exhaust from standard to aftermarket can on a 2006 R1200gs.
The exhaust is now cooking the back of the indicator...

So apart from getting heatshield tape is there any other solution to my first world problem?

Its just right in the line of fire and its all a bit melty...

It suggests that perhaps it's not designed for your awesome. Had a Bos on my '05 with no problem.
Is it fitted correctly, do you have any scope to point the exit away by rotating the can?

Resight the indicators?
