Guzzi project number 5...

You can download the owners handbooks online Ash,

I downloaded them when i was looking for a Breva in my lemon phase ;)

When i was looking for known trouble area's , it was

Rollerisation ( 1100 is ok if i recall)

And the digidash can be troublesome

apart from that, my only problem, was finding one lol

The 1100 does not have the cam follower issues only the early 4v 1200s

The digi dash issue can be resolved if you go to the guzzi owners club uk website. Theres a section on how to cut a couple of small grooves to stop the condensation issues which cause the dash to fail. Worked for mine.

Rear LED light..
Is knackered..:(

And don't seem available from Stein-Dinse, Gutsibits or Moto Guzzi ..
:(

They only list a Norge clear one at nearly £200.

So went hunting for a used one..
Only 1 seller on Ebay actually showed the light working.

So at least you know all the LED's are working.

All the way from
Massilon.
Ohio.
USA.

Sorted for £68 including p&p , import charges..

I was going to say the same

there only LED's

LEDS generally dont fail young if that makes sense

Usually the controller or circuit board first (corrosion)

Nah..... ( that's all it's money INHMO ) because limited resale value & desirability.
Plus nowhere near the spares availability of the big tonti's..

Plus I couldn't ride one, not enough leg room 4 me & I only do bikes I can ride.. ;)

I'm riding & enjoying the Breva, but will carry on tinkering over the winter when weather / health permits.
( busted bodies & cold are not good bedfellows)

Did 100 miles yesterday around Oxfordshire on the Breva, truly stonking bikes.
Especially now I've sorted the leg room..

Its absolutely brill to ride.....

Just a shame its not the best in fuel, but my right wrist keeps uncontrollably twisting the throttle :blast woooooooosh :D

But I haven't been idle in sourcing parts for her...

I managed to source some brand new, now unavailable parts for her...

HELIBARS...

At a great price..

Funny fing was when I got in touch with them in New Hampshire USA they said they've never made any for Moto guzzi...
But I had seen them on a Norge so I knew they did once.
When i emailed them with a picture they never replied - c'est L a vie

So pleased I found a set especially at a grt price...

Hi, I noticed you have a disabled badge on your windscreen, do you use a holder or just tape it on?
Mrs R is a below knee amp and we keep getting grief in disabled bays because she hasn't got her badge on display.

Photocopy, taped on.. ( in a laminated sleeve)
NADB do a badge holder, but you've got to carry it with you & lock it to the bike
https://nabd.co.uk/shop3/5-blue-badge-holder
( link working but couldn't click on product for some reason)

I've had one like this on all my bikes Ian.
And not had a problem since.

Other than the occasional twat that finks "there can't be anything wrong with him if he can ride a bike".
And the odd strange look because most people haven't seen one on a motorcycle..

Just succumbed yet again to another Big Block Guzzi. 2009 1200 Breva Sport. Full Guzzi History and absolutely mint.

I'm a total sucker for a mint older bike, especially when it's a Guzzi. Another Guzzi to keep the V85 company.

Its an illness, with no known cure... :comfort

Travel safe.. ;)
