At the moment nowhere! We'd planned the Spanish and Portuguese TET this year, but that's now postponed. Some UK TET this year, we'll do a shakedown on Salisbury plain soon.

Next year is a bit up in the air, who knows what the travel situation will be, but maybe if Timolgra is doing Iceland again we could tag along, or if we're unemployed then I had outlines for a trip to Georgia or this years postponed EuroTET.

I'm pleased the 350 is doing well, that's a nicely sorted bike.

Looks good. If you want the contact details for a guy who’ll make you Perspex covers to protect those Baja Designs lights drop me a pm and I’ll forward it to you. They’re a bit expensive to have a stray stone smash them and they look ok when fitted. I’d even post you a set of the small dome headed screws I used on mine.

Here’s a photo of the headlight covers, top one fitted.

It’s an easy job to drill them, just remove the black surround and spot through. I did one, fitted a screw then followed on so I could keep the holes small and avoid using washers.

Very nice, just getting my 500 EXC fitted with a Nomad tower with Baja lights.

I'm very pleased with the Nomad kit, seems not to be too heavy like the old Rally Raid stuff. Mike is very helpful, if not the best at answering emails

Andy/ Berin,

Have you chaps had any issues with MOT and the Baja lights?

I'd also be interested in a set of perspex covers for mine if they are still available?

Nathan

My bike is under a year old and if I thought it would be a problem I’d just put the standard lights back on for a day.

I told my favourite tester the LED bulbs fitted to my GS instead of H4s were a BMW optional extra so he laughed, said they weren’t available 20 years ago, checked the beam position and passed it.

Send me a pm as a reminder and I’ll put you in contact with the guy who supplied them and post you screws the same as the ones I used.

Hi Nathan, I haven’t had this bike MOT’d with the Baja lights on, but my 1190 has LED’s fitted and it has never raised a comment

I’ll pm you as soon as we’re going, bike needs a bit of snagging doing. Are you up for mid week?

Mid week is possible- I just need a bit of notice to book the time off!

Hi Nathan

My 500 has gone through two MOTs with the Baja lights fitted. My low beam is fitted with the "wide cornering lens" which give a fairly flat beam pattern. I was worried the light might annoy other road users but when it's set to the right height I very rarely get flashed. When the high beam is on it is extremely bright! I bought a couple of covers off of Andy - well worth the money for the peace of mind!

Cheers

Rich
