I’ve just returned from a trip around Germany Poland Slovakia & Czechia.
I always reset the Nav V trip before I go.
I’ve recorded a top speed of 137mph

On a previous trip I recorded 143mph

Now we all know these bikes won’t go that fast so why these recorded top speeds?
Momentary GPS glitch?

If I remember correctly, BMW used to quote 137 mph as the v-max for the original R1200 GS on only c. 100 bhp.

I've seen an easy 130 with more to come on my 2013 GS LC on a local A road. With a long enough run on an Autobahn, 143 is probably on the cards.

Had the local Straightliners event on the Leuchars Airfield not been cancelled this year, I was planning on taking my bike along to see just what it, with its
full Akrapovič system and Hilltop software, would hit down the runway.

The most I could get out of an R1250 was 134mph and I was absolutely wringing it’s neck. Over about 115 it seemed to take an age to get to the max speed. The Ferrari I was playing with at the time kept disappearing out of sight! :D

Did you use the euro tunnel? It will also record that as a speed, time taken from folkestone pos’n to Calais pos’n even with bike switched off.

Nav5 is not always correct, depend on satelites and many other things, the Nutty is more correct with speed of 1250

But compared to the mighty K1600 (Which I wish I'd kept), I laugh in the face of your speed's beginning with "1"

I have seen similar at 140 + , mine never struggles to get there especially when chasing KTM 1290s , easy peasy and Ducks :green gri:green gri:D.......at altitude it can sap a bit of power especially on the Vielha Sort Road c-28 to be be fair most bikes did.

I did coming back. But I can’t see how it can record that when it’s off.
The train doesn’t even do 137mph

I once got this (1200gsa) but think a minor glitch with sat nav!

My 2014 R1200GS LC hit 134mph on the GPS on the autobahn, which I thought was pretty good considering the bike was two-up and fully loaded with expanded panniers, top box and tank bag.

It certainly reached 120+ with ease, whereas my 2009 GS ran out of steam a long way before that.
