So, further to my fuel smell issue I’ve another issue with my new (to me) 2012 RT

I turn on the ignition, hear the fuel pump prime, but then (sometimes) hear a repeating buzz/beep noise from somewhere under the tank/seat (maybe!) before I fire it up, whereupon it seems to disappear (but might be that the engine noise is masking it)

I took a quick video where you can hear it - any ideas? Is it normal?

Video is here https://youtu.be/crJTAbyXC7Y

It'll be the flappy wossname. "They all do that, sir." If you look at the exhaust, you'll see it between the manifold and the silencer. It closes and opens in a cycle when you switch on the ignition. Sometimes they jam. Various threads on the site to research removing or disconnecting it. An easy fix if it is jammed.

Ah! Ok... I did think it might be coming from that.

So it’s just a start-up procedure?

That’s exactly the issue, thanks chaps!

I’ll give it a tweak later to see if I can solve it - otherwise it’s under warranty... but looks like a simple adjustment

I had to have this part replaced twice under warranty on my 2010 RT. Seems the exhaust flap gets stuck and the mechanisms continues to try and open it.

I assume it can be removed. I’ll do some research

I forgot to follow up on this thread.

It was replaced under approved used warranty :)
