So far, left home at 9am, so far great day with some new roads to try.

Stopped in the shade (it is 27° already ) at 10:40.

A quick sip of hydration fuel and head to my meeting point......

Finally, only 5 minutes late (nothing new there) and look who it is then!

It is only Mr & Mrs Arsey.

Quick coffee and a chin wag at Charlbury Deli and we are off via yet again a cracking B4473 towards Burford.....

With a quick fuel top off via Burford, we were headed for Bibury.....

Lovely scenery all round and back roads are ideal playground for any machine.

Quick stop and a wonder around Bibury...

Bilbury, ticked off the list, we were soon headed for our lunch at The Gardner’s Arms in Alderton.

We were booked in for an odd time of 01:10pm. Without to much faffing (me that is) we were on the road and seemingly on time to destination. One missed turn by Captain Arsey, we made a rapid U turn to get back on track. However a dreaded TomTom thrown a wobbly in protest and added extra 10 minutes to our journey despite us being back on track.
Garmin to the rescue and everything was just about fine, when a farmers Tractor laden with bales and some 6-7 car + 2 bike train behind, nearly stalked going up hill and to add a further insult to the injury, he would point Blanc ignore everybody behind him for the next 3-4 miles without pulling over in the passing place and letting anybody through to ease the queuing.

Soon I got through but had to wait at the junction for the Couple.

We are back together and with a slight delay riding without being bunched up. Descending into the village, I could see a car just pulled up at the blind T-junction. With anticipation of a potential incident, I’ve rolled off the throttle and as expected the car is in front of me half way across the road. Anticipation certainly had saved my bacon on this occasion. My conclusion of the situation is a very poor road positioning from the car driver.

Shortly we arrive at The Gardner’s Arms and enjoying a cold beverage....

... another round of drinks with a good meal. However, Do NOT chose Wild mushroom and Truffle Burger of their menu, it is rather bland and requires a fair amount of seasoning.

Otherwise everybody was happy. A bit of chin wag in the shade, we were off again....

Feed and watered we were headed to Ford via freshly laid bit of tarmac. Lovely section of B4077 (from Toddington to Ford) headed uphill via number of sweeping bends, if slightly being held up by a slow coach Ford Focus. Still it was a good fun....

.... quick lap of Snowshill (very Twee) village and onto Broadway Tower.... lovely shaded ride under the tree canopy...

Stinking hot, so we take only a short jog to see the deer and back on the bikes. A place to visit for another day for Mr & Mrs Arsey. But not without a cheat from me....

A few snaps from the previous trip and in a not so dissimilar weather conditions....
