GS LC (small) tank bag on hexhead (08) GS

Hi all

To my surprise, my LC tank bag fits the (tank) shape of my 08 hexhead GS beautifully and the under seat clip / straps (nearest the rider) fit well too. Problem is the front fixing. The LC tank bag is designed to strap to a little clip at the front (which you can't fit to the hexhead) so it will require some fashioning of a strap that could e.g. strap around the handlebars or something. Anyone successfully done this already?

Update! Managed to extend the front strap and wrap it around the chassis number plate at the front. Sorted!
