A friend has acquired a 1200RT and like myself is vertically challenged. Having a 1200GS I'm aware of the low suspension and low seat options for the GS models.

What are the lowering options for the RTs?

Thanks

Paul

There is a low seat option & seat lowering on the pre LC models if i recall

The watercooled appear to have low seat & esa which will give some additional lowering

Couldn't see where to edit and add this

Ive fit lowering kit for footrests.

Thanks Beagler. His legs are already to short so the distance from the seat to the ground that needs lowered not just to footrests.

2008 came with either

ESA suspension or std suspension

The seat height is the stock bar adjustment so two heights for each seat

If its std suspension, hyperpro do 30mm lowering springs

so i'd say you could fit a set of wilburs or similar (but you would need to check)

you will need to lower the centre stand, and side stand if you do decide go down that route

Denzo on this site will service and lower OE shocks, several on here Inc myself have used his services, I had my GS shocks lowered 25mm. Excellent service.
