I want another torch

One note of caution with Ledlenser torches; they are one of the most counterfeited brands out there, eBay etc are full of really good fakes so buy direct to avoid copies ‘cos they’re nowhere near as good.

I bought an LedLenser P7 a few years ago. Pocket sized, decent battery life, very bright for what it is with two light levels, and almost instant beam focus from full flood to a very tight beam. AAA batteries seem to last forever. Strong waterproof aluminium case. Mine has been with me on all my travels and rolls around in the garage in between trips. The tight beam is great for looking for things lost in garage gloom. They still do a P7 I see from the link above but it’s been upgraded a lot and is a lot more expensive now.

I also got a tiny ledlenser torch free with it. Think mag lite solitaire size. That lives in my bike’s toolbox and I am always amazed when I do get it out that it still works. I found it immersed in water one time , it’ll have been like that for days but a quick shake and blow and it worked perfectly. I am very impressed with LedLenser quality.

This one? Fifty pounds seems good. They also have a slightly better one that uses rechargeable batteries and is brighter.

Either of these look great but I’ll look into to the other brand too.

I can’t really see much difference between the one you posted and the one I posted tick?

Both are usb rechargeable which is fantastic. I like being able to tuck stuff away to charge when on the move.

That Lenser looks good chaps (the £50 one) but I'd still say this Olight gets you more for your money. It's 1000lm vs the Lenser which is rated at 450 (still blindingly bright) and fits in the palm of your hand compared to the 4 x AAA Lenser which is 130mm. In short, smaller package and double the output, still rechargeable with the magnetic dock too.

It can be had for £43 on sale in a few days time. For me it's the best bang for buck out there which is why I bought one and am very impressed with it.

There's also the Perun Mini which is basically the same as above but with a 90deg lens on it.

Fenix TK 35 for me every time ...

If you want pocket size for walking back from the pub, then the ...

Fenix E 12 superb little fella :thumb2

I have a fetish for torches and multi tools :D

:beerjug:

They look really good also. i am happier spending £50.

I really like the look of this one:

Really like this.

That's the one in my country lane test (very scientific).

Incidentally they have it in orange with an I3T in a few days time for £55. The i3T is no slouch either and perfect for sticking in the tank bag for emergencies.

I should be on commission :D

I bought this 10 years ago. Well not the same one as it was replaced FOC...Lifetime warranty. Honoured without quibble when a seal failed. Love it. It stands outdoors all year, hardly uses batteries and is waterproof with a hard body, lifetime warranty. Other models my be better suited but the brand is one I am happy with

PS...2 pages for a torch, who'da thought

Can't resist a torch.... as a result of this chat I bought a small Olight which included the free i1T 2 EOS keyring torch. I didn't expect much from this but it is a great bit of engineering.

Really well made, bright and with a very neat USB charging port. As an emergency light on a keyring, this is a great bit of kit. Impressed.

You got off lighter than I did then Paul :D

In the flash sale I bought an M2R Pro, and a Perun mini - plus got the i1T which you refer too (mint green though....)

Just looked at Perun Mini on ebay there's a discount bringing them down to £52 if anybody's considering one.
