I'm after a garage mat. What do you recommend?

As the title says really. I'm after a garage mat to go under the bike. So it's the kind of mat that's roughly the full length of the bike.

I've seen the ones on ebay with the motorcycle brand names but want something a bit better quality. Any recommendations please?

Try your local ‘Country’ store, ask for horse box matting; much thicker and more durable than motorcycle stuff and no logo’s

Just get a few metres of something like this. Different thicknesses, widths and patterns are available.

I've had some in my garage with two bikes on it for several years now and it has held up very well.

just wondered what it does/why (sorry, I'm still waking up)?

Id've thought a rubber backed carpet runner would do the job (whatever that job is?) A quick search brought THIS up but I'm sure plain ones are available too.

24MX sell "environment mats" which are intended to absorb up to 1 litre of oil. These are a requirement at some events. Useful when you run old British trials bikes, as slowing the leaks is as much as I've been able to manage!
