Hi All,

have the ohlins BM436 shock installed, and am now thinking of going for the front ohlins shock too... can some one help me with any input on whether it is easily possible to adjust preload AFTER the shock is installed?

also can anyone who weighs around 80KG share their preload and damping settings on both shocks please?

Hello there I have an 05 model with Ohlins on the front and can confirm access is reasonable for a C spanner for preload adjustments although I would not want to be doing it every week as the amount of turn for the spanner is limited so a little bit laborious. On an 05 model that is, not definitive for you but some help maybe. Preload/sag is easy to set perhaps a head start before mounting would be nice though.

Thanks all,

Just an update....bike can preset with preload from my supplier and it turns out they were spot on with their reckoning. It’s a new bike now....the rear shock needs the front to balance out properly, at least in my case
