R1200RT 2014 Smell of Fuel post filling up

Guys been running the bike for 2 years, no issues however filled up last week on centre stand last week and for around 100miles 3 bars of fuel I could still smell petrol. Did the same this morning after around 100mile smell goes away?

Any ideas? Help would be mega and no I didn’t over fill or spill fuel before anyone starts! Lol

The on,u time this happened to me was once after a fill and after an MOT test.
Both occasions the cap had not been pushed closed fully.
Might be something to look at?

Look at how well the fuel cap is sealing, your issue will be there.

Push the filler cap closed. They push it closed HARDER

Trust me, it happens a lot and no that obvious at first
