Hi All,

Ive been chatting to the guys at Brooks suspension about a +40mm suspension Upgrade. It would appear a fellow Tosser has recently upgraded his front end to the Andreani fork cartridge kit +40mm with a Nitron R2 fully adjustable rear shock +40mm to match.
The guys at Brooks could not give me the tossers info but if you have just upgraded with this kit would it be possible to get a couple photos of your bike please so I can see how the bike sits with a +40mm lift. I like the idea of the Wilbers +70mm lift however Brooks said their kit is a better set up.
So if this is You could you make contact via pm.
Thanks mark

It’s surely a personal thing but on looks alone I think the +70mm lift is too much. The bike just looks ungainly. A +40mm sounds more reasonable. I’ve a +50mm spacer on my front forks and I’ll balance the rear with a similar lift. I heed to research what shock increase will give that lift at the seat. I’m guessing not a lot.

This is mine with around 40mm at the front and slightly more at the back. The front is lighted with a fork extender and a YSS emulator inside, threat is lifted with a Nitron shock from a DOHC GS. I don’t think it looks ungainly but beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc.

There you go

I think your bike looks fab. The lift at the back looks perfect to me. Im just trying to see if its worth the extra money to get the wilbers +70mm kit which is about £1000 more than the +40mm Andreani/nitron R2. Thanks for the photos

Here’s mine with the +30 mm Wilbers unit on the back (front is standard).. Difficult to appreciate the height difference from standard at this angle. I’ll try and get some other pics of it later and post them up..

Ok, an update to my first post. Ive ordered the Adreani +40mm lift on the front and after speaking to Nitron they are doing a bespoke rear shock +50mm. Its about a five week wait for the shock to be delivered but once fitted, by Brooks Suspension, Ill put some photos on and more info if anyone is interested.

Would need to have a look at how its fitted to confirm but the initial look suggests it won't fit? If you can take a photo with the seat removed that would help?

What is the mudguard, and where's it from? Please.

70mm sounds like quite a change, is there evidence that the R9T's shaft UJs can handle this without wearing prematurely?
