Bought this last week, spur of the moment decision, and a recommendation from a fellow member. First big ride out today. Got to say I’m well chuffed with it As noted on here in several posts the suspension could be a lot better, but sounds like there are lots of options to upgrade it. Im 6’1” and thought it might be a bit cramped, coming off a KTM 1290 Adv, but, while it’s small, it’s still fairly comfortable.
The next thing is a few farkles and some more research into suspension.
I’ve noticed lots of accessories fit up to 2018 models, this is a 2019, I can’t find much info regarding the differences, if there are any. Anyone know?
Looking forward to getting out on it again ASAP.:beerjug:

I recently bought an Urban G/S. I’d agree that the suspension is a little agricultural but it’s nothing like as bad as some people suggest. I just did LEJOG in six days without any difficulty. The thing that is a challenge for six consecutive 250+ mile days is the seat. Moto Skiveez solved it...

Yes but they don’t list them for the Pure, not sure if any other models fit. Wunderlich do them but they are €146 which is a bit pricey for what they are. I’ll keep looking. Just ordered an M Shock rear unit with +8mm giving 24mm extra ride height, and some Hyperpro springs. That’ll have to do for now. Unless anyone has any for sale.....:D

My mistake I had the Wunderlich ones - soz

Sorry to jump in here; I also fitted the Wunderlich peg lowering set.

Please zoom in to the below image; it’s only 20mm but it made all the odds to me.

No challenges with fitting etc.

Hi Colin, they look good, I guess I will have to bite the bullet and get a set. :thumb

:beerjug:Did they fit without having to alter anything on the brake side, were the pipes etc long enough?

Brake line “just” long enough.... but that 20mm changed the leg angle completely... made it much more comfortable

The Wunderlich lowering kit does make a big difference. On mine I had to use the supplied adapter as the brake line reached but was very tight.

That’s useful info, thanks, for that.

I have the Wunderlich handlebar raisers (20mm, from memory) & the footrest lowering kit, also 20mm.

It made a huge difference but don't forget to adjust the gear lever to a lower position, before tightening the left side footrest kit up. If you forget, you'll only have to undo it, in order to adjust it. DAMHIK..........:rob

Hi Chris

Nice looking bike sir. Check out....ninetowners.com....most answers can be found to most questions on there. Re suspension...speak to Simon at BikeRevival.co.uk....the Wilbers 640 road gets a good review for the r9t.

Hi P, replied to your email before reading this. Gone down the shock factory/Hyperpro route, well chuffed with the difference, and excellent value too.

Thanks, just looking at these options now, bought a shock factory unit with 24mm ride height increase, made a big difference in how the bike feels, suspension and height wise.
