As per the heading, my microphone isn't working. I have tried another serviceable mic, cleaned the contacts, carried out a factory reset all to no avail. If I place another head unit on the helmet clamp assembly the mic works fine, so I strongly suspect the problem is with the head unit. Anyone else suffer with this problem and is there a fix apart from buying a new unit?

Yes, It is basically the pin track interface on the body. I did actually manage to repair one of ours successfully. But it is unlikely that you will have the right tools to do it. Unfortunately Sena will not help. I think the pin track is specific to Sena, but I don't know for sure. The mic pin is at one end of the track and the break is on it's track to the pin input from the pcb.

If you open the unit up, you will see that the interface board connects to the pcb. The problem is one of the tiny tracks on the interface board. You can check each of the pins for continuity and you will see it; it's either pin 1 or pin 2 from memory. Perhaps you could take the board to a specialist and he could do the micro surgery.

It would make more sense if it was apart. Sena would not supply another board let alone carry out a repair.
