TFT Screen Security

Here’s the first thing to come to mind incorporating a visor as suggested.....

My thoughts... it seems to me that a security device that doesn’t intrude onto the screen surface would be preferable. One that obscures access to the circlip fastenings and fits snugly around the sides of the tft like a collar with the upper edge extending to form a shade if that is what people want as per your diagram.

Totally agree and thank you for your input - it’s only the first off and there will be some development

I saw a recent Facebook post about this exact thing! Would be interesting to see what you could come up with Mark!

Here’s a pre-order link, I’m sodding off to Ullapool on the bike :) but I wanted to get something up for people to pre-order.

The photos are of prototypes but I’ll get better images done when I get back - including the visor as requested!

Looking good :thumb2 but do you intend doing a version without the 'visor'? (only because I don't like the idea of sharp metal edges directly in front of me)

There was a simple mod on the mountings for older dials on the 1200GS for preventing pilfering as they went through a phase of it due to them only being held on with a couple of clips. Headlights were also another target due to the lack of fixings.

There's one which looks identical from nedplex - but without the visor - these have been quite popular due to the thefts of TFT screens of late

Currently out of stock, but you can pre-order one here (just don't pay until you get a mail saying it is in stock)

I bought one of these from Nedplex. Prompt delivery and easy to fit. Doesn't seem to affect the light sensor. I prefer this design without the extra 'visor', but that's only my opinion.

Another benefit of buying from Mark is the support he and his team give to their customers. I bought a screen brace from Mark but had a problem fitting it to my bike. Although Mark checked the brace when I returned it and couldn't identify anything wrong with it he sent me a replacement with a slight modification which has done the trick and now the brace fits the bike perfectly. Thanks Mark.

Another benefit of buying from Mark is the support he gives his customers. I bought a brace from him but could not get it to fit straight on my bike. Although Mark checked it and could not find anything wrong with it that might cause the problem, he applied some thought to what the cause may be and sent me a replacement which he had modified slightly to give a bit more fitting tolerance. I installed the new brace today, and it fits perfectly. They do say that the real test of a company's service is how they act when something goes wrong. Thank you Mark/Cymarc.

My apologies for posting the same message twice. I'm not sure how it happened, and I can't work out how to delete one of them 🙄
