Hi all, just got a 12 plate gs adventure triple black and have noticed the top of the tank has a Matt black vinyl sort of finish, is this factory or has someone stuck it on ? Random I know but it kinda looks shit and I’d like to take it off if it’s just stuck on. Cheers in advance.

Sounds like somebody has stuck it on, I've got the same bike but without the finish your talking about.

Sounds like vinyl wrap to me.. Mine has a gloss finish (aside from the tank pad and cubby cover)...

Looks like an aftermarket tank pad to stop your jacket scratching the paintwork. You might need to heat it to loosen the glue if you want to remove it.

Don't overheat it. The contents of the tank are rather combustible
