Just heard on the radio that Robert Gore, inventor of Goretex, has died age 83.

How many of us are wearing his invention?

Bob Gore - born lucky? Yet the grim reaper visits us all.

His father Bill had worked at Dupont, so understood PTFE & they jointly patented Goretex, yet the process had been discovered by a guy in NZ originally 3 years previous.
