Superb, thank you for sharing this. Makes me want to buy an old Jap bike again!
My first bike trip was in 1985, two weeks after I passed my bike test, when I travelled from the UK to my homeland in Greece on a 1980 Honda cx500.
It never missed a beat...

Respect - that sounds like a great trip, when we were young we didn't give things a second thought and all with no modern "tech"

The age of bike fits perfectly with the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club, VJMC criteria.
I guess by definition all Japanese motorcycles are "modern" ?
