it is two years (tomorrow) since I lost my wife Liz to breast cancer.

I have prostate cancer so we both benefited from Maggie's cancer centres.

I have chosen to support them by undertaking the fire walk challenge again in Nottingham on 17th October.

If you are able to sponsor me please have a look at my Just Giving page.

Some will remember I did this same challenge 2 years ago.

Thanks for looking.
Gerry

Postponed because of Covid-19

Informed today that the threat of Nottingham going into local lockdown next week has resulted in the decision to put the date of the Fire Walk back to a date to be confirmed (in the Spring).

I remain registered for the walk and still looking forward it.

I will post again when I get any update.

Thanks
Gerry

Update

The fire walk that was postponed last year due to covid is now taking place at 6pm next Saturday 16th October at Mapperley Golf club Nottingham.

I have recovered enough from a motorcycle accident last month to do the walk without needing a stick so I have signed up again.

Thanks to all who sponsored me last year.

I have had to set up a new fundraising page if anyone is able to support me with this.

https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/gerard-durkin1

Anyone who wishes to watch me do this is welcome :thumb

Thanks
Gerry
