For anyone interested the Flappy Valve thing on my 2019 3K miles Multistrada Pikes peak failed. early September.

Bike ended up at a dealer nearest to me who I wasn't overly keen on ( in fairness they have been quite good)

First possible date they have to fix the problem is end of October they are so busy and I can see how someone who had their bike booked in for service would not be happy having their work bumped to sort out my warranty issues but to say I wasn't pleased is an understatement.

Any way having got Ducati UK involved to vent my displeasure they have as usual stepped unto the mark.

The solution to the valve problem is a full Termignoni system and map which retailas at a shade under £2k

I have to make a small contribution to the cost but other than that Ducati are picking up the tab

I am quite happy with the outcome

I’d be happy with that.

The fuckers wanted me to pay full price for a Termignoni system after the cylinder head on my Multi decided it was porous, leaked coolant into the headers and wrecked the cat after the warranty had expired. I sold it :D

I am actually happy with that despite my immediate displeasure at it happening in the first place and then the prospect of waiting 7 weeks for a fix that would likely fail again ( it is apparently a very common failure) and more so on the Pikes peak allegedly

Any way as said Ducati usually step up to the mark so no complaints although it was a bit of a faff getting to the right person as the dealer the bike went to was not the supplying dealer and the supplying dealer didn't seem to give a toss. Once through to the right bloke at Ducati job got sorted so all well
