I’d love to be 21 again and buying one of them .:thumb2

Although with the current licensing laws you’d probably need to be 25+ in case you hurt yourself ?

Probably covered in another thread somewhere but I believe they are launching a new adventure model with the same engine too.

Yep, they reference that in the above article. It'll be called the Tuareg, apparently.

That 600-700cc slot in the adventure bike market is becoming really interesting.

I was hoping that it was going to use one of those smaller V twin engines that they used to make BUT half an RSV4 should do nicely....;)

Looks Sssssso good like most Aprilias. I remember the trade area at the Silverstone GP a couple of years ago. The Aprilia area was full of drop dead stunna motorbikes. Directly opposite was the Yamaha area with the drabbest looking line up of motorbikes you could imagine. It was a complete ying V yang of how to style motorcycles.

Anyway, that 660 is a belter....:thumb2

Gets a good review too !!

Seems like it’s roomy,low pegs,wide bars.Good torque .
What’s not to like ?
Whilst an RSV4 or a Pani V4S is great, you can’t use 200+ bhp anywhere but this being relatively light and 99bhp seems a much better proposition. Will have to try one.

Looks a cracker.

The 660 Tuono will be rather handy too and the forthcoming Tuareg using the same engine will upset the Tenere 700, with 25% more power.
It’ll probably be in a slightly higher price bracket though, using better components. If it keeps similar power to the RS as 99bhp and similar weight, it’ll possibly be a cracking adventure bike.

Can't wait to see the inevitable 'Factory' version....dripping in Ohlins........

I can.
Not sure it’ll be much benefit. The current bike is fully loaded with cruise, quickshifter etc and reports say it handles lovely with good suspension.
Adding Ohlins and a fancier paint job will push it up past £12/13k,which is getting pricey for a 660cc bike.

Full Akra looks good

But I bet that’s £2k+.

Can’t see the point on a £10k bike.

Minimal luggage available for a few bits and bobs

I’m really liking the bike.

It goes ok

Just seen this thread and I agree.

I have had this on my radar for some time and when I messaged a few mates about it - their initial reaction is it wouldn't be 'enough', but all of the reviews and online content seem very positive about it. With some sort of luggage, doesn't have to be a lot, it could be a feasible option so those new pictures make it more interesting. With the continuing increased 'enforcement' on the continent perhaps a little bit of 'less is more' could be the sensible option. It reminds me of when the TZR 250 came out and plenty of the big cc bikes were getting done over on the road.

Consider this, you could have one of these AND the forthcoming Tuareg version (or a 700 Tenere etc), and have some change from a specced up GS ........

I am looking forward to a test ride when available :thumb

Unsurprisingly it wins the ‘group test’

I’ve yet to see a single negative review.
It seems the only thing to pick fault with is possibly the suspension.
No doubt a Factory version will solve that.
And the 660 Tuono should be a belter too.
2023 Tuono 660 Factory could be the one !! :)

strictly for 5'8 max otherwise you will look ridiculous!
