My New R1250GS 40th is ready.

Got my panels back from being 3d carbon dipped. I drilled a 38mm hole in the side panel to get to the new BMW din plug. Very impressed with the finish. Might get more done now.

Also have the small cover from the Rallye seat dipped as well.

You should have got the pillion hangers done as well; they stand out like a sore thumb!

I just don't get why you would try and make a bit of plastic look like it's made out of carbon. Carbon looks a bit shit anyway... People don't paint over carbon because they want everyone to see how much money they've spent. Faking a bit of plastic to look like carbon seems a bit desperate.

I think getting them powder coated black, or buying the BMW black ones is next on the list Nutty.

Powder coating should cost about £20-£30 for those. I’ll bet BMW charge well over £100 for them in black?

OP, do you ride with a pillion?

Maybe a daft question, but I whipped my hangers off on day one, as I never do.

Good point. Last time was the missus on the back in France in 2019!!!

Footrests, levers and frame guards fitted. Just the AC Schnitzer hand levers to fit tomorrow. And hopefully another 100 miles early Sunday morning.

Stick to road riding with those footrest, broke two sets before i gave them the heave ho for something more suitable.

Wheels are here. Will start the swap over later.

Was thinking more like this. As in I’m bricking myself.
