Guys, what would you recommend for a large screen to be connected up to a MacBook Pro. Ideally something 27inch roughly. Does it just connect by usb and can I turn off the laptop screen so everything is displayed on the larger screen? This for someone who is visually impaired, have tried zoomtext, magnification etc and a larger screen is my preferred option. Thanks

Depends slightly on which MBP you have, but it’s normally straightforward to connect modern macs to external monitors. You can normally set it up how you want - everything on the monitor/nothing on the laptop screen, everything mirrored on both, separate windows on mac and monitor.

Mine I used a 27” widescreen display.
Had the choice of DisplayPort or HDMI to use.
Don’t now not the room for it

Thanks and does it have to be an apple monitor or will anything do?

Thank you all.have taken the plunge on a Samsung one from Amazon. Still have my Samsung plasma TV from 2007 and it is going strong. Also a recent convert to Samsung phone having been Apple since the 3g
