.Is that what they do .Thanks .I thought they where electrodes for Frankensteins neck.Sorry for hijacking your thread Mikey as ever a grand job .They are a non-BMW item that were made to hold your panniers to the frames. Take off the rubber bung (if fitted) to the top rear of the pannier frame, push the 'trunnion' through the frame and the pannier (hole drilling required) then put the washer and R-clip on the inside of the pannier. Then all you have to worry about is the pannier door opening in flight...
Did the R100S owner remove the engine and use it as a trig point on a mountain somewhere? The rest of the bike seems in much better nick? :
