I posted a few pics elsewhere but thought I’d start a separate thread in the bike section, as it seems it’s never been mentioned before.

I’ve been hoping that Honda would bring the CT125 Hunter Cub to Europe/UK, but it seems they’re not.

Always liked the look of these since the CT110 days.
BUT, no sign of them coming to UK and even if they did they would be about £ 3500.

Whilst out with a mate the other day I noticed a new Benelli that had just arrived at the dealer.(The oldest dealership in the world !!).
Very vivid colour, nice modern styling and bigger than a Honda Monkey.

The TNT 125. Been out a couple for years but had a refresh for 2020

Also comes in red, white or black if you don’t like the fastest green colour :)

Possibly perfect for mucking about on the island, but also ideal for my girlfriend to get back on 2 wheels.
She last rode before I met her about 7 years ago.Had a GSXR1000, did track days etc but got a bit fast, had a few scares and lost her nerve....

So, anyway, the bike was on a trade plate and I took it for a spin and was very surprised how nice it rode.

It’s only a 125 and putting out 11bhp, but it’s very smooth and certainly has a bit of pep.
I’m 6”1’ but it’s much roomier than it looks, with a seat height of 780mm and very low pegs.

The bikes use Chinese motor and parts but I think are assembled in Italy.
Whatever, the finish looks great, neat welds,LED lights, brakes very good, light clutch, smooth gearbox, good quality controls, nice dash.

So, decided I’d have it and collected today, in the rain.

I’ve only done 30 miles but no real negatives yet, apart from the seat being a bit thin.

The best bit is the price -£2k dead, though they’re £2300 OTR in UK I think.

A mate has already said he wants one and I can imagine a few of us going away on them. Would be a right giggle.

Fuel tank is 7.7 litre but they’ll supposedly do 120mpg so at least 150 miles on a tank.

Would be a perfect bike for a wobbly box. It’s even got a pillion seat and pegs, though a tight fit.

Cheap Chinese shite ? Time will tell. It’s certainly cheap, but has a 2 year warranty.....

Apparently tyres are shite in the wet-they seemed ok to me but the tyre of choice are these Michelins which can be had for under £100 fitted :

Loads of aftermarket stuff but I shall resist.
Even a full Yoshi system for £400, FFS !!

Looks great and I can see me getting one to join my Grom and Monkey.

I've been away several times on my 390 Duke leaving the bigger bikes at home and never regretted it.

I think it would be fun to go away on a small bike, you'd certainly see more of the scenery.

My Grom seemed quite happy on the M25 in rush hour a couple of years ago.

The quality of the Chinese Benelli is fine. I and a couple of mates own the TRK 502 that are impressive machines considering the small cost. TNT looks nice.

Looks great and £2K !!!!....FFS, push bike money.

Re 'cheap Chinese shit' - it may turn out to be, who knows? Approximately ten years ago I bought a little Honda from a local dealer, he was telling me all about the 'cheap Chinese shite' that was about to flood the market. Same bloke is now a Benelli main dealer...:blast

Edit. Just checked and said dealer is selling these at £2,299 OTR as per OP.

And don’t they have a 5 speed ‘box compared to the MSX 4 speed ?

Correct.

Looks great and £2K !!!!....FFS, push bike money.

Puts it into perspective when this

Costs less than this

(Just the exhaust, not the bike )

Though obviously it’s very well made and we can all spend our money how we like .

The TNT is much sharper looking compared to the box that is the 2021 MSX/Grom. :barf

Thats a lot of bike for the money for sure.......:okay

In 5 years time it'll be worth about a grand too Id say, result

Been out on damp roads this morning and the tyres could be better,so I’ve ordered a set of the Michelins. Not bad for £110 fitted !!

That looks the dogs bollox although the colour is fucking hideous :blast

...and for balance, I think the colour is cock on for such a quirky little bike. Looks the same (ish) as the colour on the early, round headlight, Triumph Speed Triples - the alternative was a hidious pink (IIRC)....

That's really sweet, what size are the wheels (they look really small in the pictures), 16"?

The standard exhaust really suits it, I hope you're not actually thinking of fitting the Akra?

12 inch rims.

I made an enquiry about one this morning, can buy online and have it delivered, free I think as the nearest dealer is 100 miles away.

Wheels are 12”.
Getting the Michelins as mentioned above for it as the Cordials it comes with are a bit crap.

No plans to change exhaust .

There’s the full Yoshi system but it’s £400

66372dc9fd701059cbfa29c3229cfbd4.jpg

Not spending that on a £2k bike .
Others have fitted a decat header but it makes it so noisy that they refit the OE header straight away.

Only mod is to remove air box snorkel.

It’s not a quick bike but it’s very smooth for a single and will do 65mph.

I like the styling , especially the exhaust and back end. Just going to have a laugh with it and possibly get g/f one if she likes mine . Would be fun to piss about on in Brittany. Less is more !

Increased the power from 11 to 11.1 bhp today by doing a recommended mod-removed the air filter snorkel

Bit louder but also seems to pull better .

Also made an instructional vid on the complicated procedure of changing units from MPH to KM/H for those long European tour :)))
