Build codes

Hi new on the posts.
Any one able to decode the build options of the 1200gs?
I want to know what option 0499 is in relation to the lowering options. Is this the chassis option?

quick bit of info when asking a general question.

The 1200gs was produced from 2005 - until 2020

thats 15 years & within that 15 years, multiple variants were built

GS, GSA, Single cam / twin cam & LC

Each model got an annual update, as well as updates as parts were improved or superseded.

so with a general question there are 900 possible production variations that we can look at to determine if a part or parts is or is not fitted

if you supply a model & year of manufacture that gets it down to 1 in 12 search

If you supply model model year & month of manufacture it gets it down to 1 in 1


Loads of people will be happy to help, (inc me), but dont have time to look through 900 odd web pages to find a general query.


I have a lowered GS, so always happy to help on this subject, but i need a tad more info please
