Can you ceramic Hydrophobic coat a visor?

Was out yesterday, first day off lockdown

and cold and wet, bloody visor on my Tour X4 wouldn’t clear the rain, even though I always clean and coat with polish. Had me thinking, can you use this ceramic hydrophobic coatings on a helmet visor?

If anybody has done it, what product did you use and how are you getting with it?

Yes I have done mine. Make sure you polish properly or it will give a smeared appearance. If you do get any smudges, use toothpaste to clean it off and reapply the coating properly.

Rainex will make a visor go brittle over time. A stone flicked up at the wrong time could prove nasty.

I have used this in the past. Worked pretty well too.

I believe rainex now do a specific reduction for visors

What I used is no longer available, but I would assume any other ceramic coating for paintwork would work just as well.
