Hi,

I noticed that the cable to the oil pressure switch is looking a bit bare on my X Challenge - not bare wire but there's little or no sleeving/tape left where the wire joins the sensor, almost as if it's been pulled (it hasn't to my knowledge).

Anyone any idea if this connection is part of the main wiring loom or a separate loom or cable? I had a look at the parts book and it's hard to tell.

It looks a bit awkward to repair with tape.

Thanks,

Ian.

Where abouts is the oil pressure switch please? I must check that. Cheers

It’s part of the main loom and it’s usual for the cloth wrap tape to come off . Just buy a roll of new loom tape and re-wrap

Thanks - I think I'll go round the entire loom and re-wrap where the inner wire(s) are exposed.

The thickness - or more to the point, thinness - of the wire is a concern.

A good decision - every one of my bikes has had the complete harness removed , refurbished and fully tape wrapped

Cheers John many thanks for the photos, will nip out to garage now and have a look. All best Steve
