2021 V7

My mate has a black and gold 2008 V7 in his garage that he kind of wants to sell....very low mileage...Haven’t really got room in my garage but it does look nice.
He’s not ridden it for months.....

what price would your mate be asking for a 2008 model ?

I've always thought the shape and size of the cylinders on the 750's never looked 'quite' right in relation to the rest of the bike. This lump looks much better proportioned (at least, they do in these photos).

I'm not overly keen on the styling of the blue one above but think the 'Stone' version looks ok. It'l be interesting where they go with the various models they are sure to bring out........

I love the look of the blue spoked wheel one just the thing for a Sunday bimble.......never did have any taste tho' :)

I rather like this bike. I think I'd like the special edition with the alloy wheels off the Stone so I could have tubeless tyres, failing that the chrome exhaust system off the Special put on the Stone model. I wonder what the clutch is like, I reckon it may be too much for my gammy left hand.

Hard to believe they've STILL not brought out a Le Mans rep. :blast

Major changes such as engine from 85TT

Gone is the old 744cc motor in favour of a new 850cc engine based on the mill in the V85TT. It’s not the same engine though – Guzzi say it’s all new and with it comes different (read lower) power figures.

The new engine makes 63bhp and 53.8 ftlbs, which is a significant boost compared to the previous 50bhp engine but also a bit of a let-down when you consider the V85TT makes 79bhp. This time around Moto Guzzi are also producing an A2 compliant reduced power version, which might help it hook in some new riders.

I like that .....

I must say i'am liking that; it seems to have a bit of individual doing things their own way class to it; even the fuel bar in the Guzzi wings shape; well tidy; i can't understand why they have'nt given it the full monty in power stakes tho; unless like someone has pointed out; they have a cheeky Le mans in the pipe line. Just out of interst arsey; how does your mate rate the riding experience of the RE with that of his Guzzi?

I think they're going to release a Le Mans/ Griso style bike with the V85 engine, possibly with a few more BHP even. It could even be a 100 anniversary bike? I hope they do, although sadly I do think it will fit this ageing body.

I wish my V85tt had a similar click or twin retro clocks. It’s the only thing I don’t love about it

I was thinking this is the motor lifted from the roamer/bobber rather than the v85tt. Similar power. Here’s hoping they release a mk1 Le Mans lookalike using the “full power” engine but not to extreme in the clip on, rearsets for us oldies with and knackered knees though!
