I have purchased an RT1250LE from a BMW dealer, which is situated over 300 miles from my home. The dealer is in a Tier 3 area regarding COVID and I have been unable to visit.
The bike is being delivered this Friday and comes with top box(also dynamic brake lights) and panniers.

The sales chappie does not know whether the top box can be removed or not, I assume it can. I hope so!!!

If this is so, how does one remove the top box, and how is the brake light cable detached from the bike once the box is removed.

But having done so, may I ask why you want to remove it? Top piece of kit from a functional and safety perspective I found in my 5 years of use - the high level brake light is excellent and very visible

There’s a twist switch under the carpet, rotate and it comes off.

Regarding power, a cable exits on RHS of bike and goes into a socket under rear seat.

V easy operation on both

That really is the height of ignorance. That bloke could probably give you chapter and verse about the GS - but knows f* all about the other models. Heaven help us!

Just tell me it wasn't Reiten Motorrad.
