Harman Kardon CD/Radio replacement on a glide

Has anyone on here ever replaced this player and what did you upgrade to?
2010 FLHTCU.
Mine has stopped emitting sound to the F & R speakers albeit via the tank centre console output socket, the headphones are OK.

Whether it could be corrosion on the handlebar pad 3-way switch, I don’t know but, US forums say these players are suspect.

there is the school of thought that states if your bike has a CD player then get a fecking car?

run the diagnostic program, it is in built and should let you see which part is not working.

But how then will you let the whole town know about your 'REO Speedwagon – Best of' album whilst cruising past Iceland with your tasseled and conchoed jacket gently flapping in the breeze? And those snake skin cowboy boots are not going to admire themselves dammit.
