Not my creation. The paint was only on the Exclusiv Sport, which was the last run of the heavy fly wheel bikes (I think). So it was a run out model with a few extras which included the paint and the polished rear bevel and fork legs. 50 bikes in the US and 50 in Europe as far as I know. The blue stripes are actually transfers as per the original.

Thanks Garry, yes I have seen that, but I’m not entirely sure all of it is correct. I have looked at as many exclusiv sports as I can find, including an original unrestored bike. I believe the rocker covers were not polished as part of the factory spec.
I know people refer to the bike as an airliner (including me) but again as far as I know the colours are from the Bavarian flag and as used by a BMW race team of the time. So nothing to do with Lufthansa. If anyone has info to the contrary, I’d be interested to see it.
