My boots have visibly marked the frame on my f800gsa especially where the large welds are on the front upward tubes from the swinging arm pivot.

Touratech do a set of frame guards in black plastic but run at £45 per side which is ridiculous and double the price of BMW's own guards for the 1200 range.

Got a set from E Bay from a certain far eastern country and they arrived today, decent quality plastic and a very good fit. Replaced the crap cable ties supplied and used some double sided tape to protect the frame.

Well worth £29 and the coulour match is very good so you do not notice them once fitted
