I have a Canon MG6250 printer that I use mainly via a Powerline type network.

I use the Canon software that I find powerful and easy to use.

I recently upgraded my MacBook to the Big Sur operating system and when I tried to use the Canon software their system only showed compatibility up to and including Catalina OS.

I contacted Canon re this and here is part of their reply:

"Thank you for your request and for contacting Canon.

In response to your enquiry regarding the driver request for your PIXMA MG6250, we regret to inform you that this product is not compatible with macOS 11.0 (Big Sur) and no drivers will be made available. We apologize for any inconvenience this will cause you, however If you wish to upgrade your product, you may be interested in checking our online store.
".

They go on to say:

"Furthermore, Canon always advises its customers to check the compatibility of their associated Canon products prior to the upgrade of an operating system.". Does anyone ever do this?

I can still print from my MacBook but will now have to find a workaround to scan and to do something as simple as putting two pictures on one sheet, which previously was easy using the Canon software.
