2021. 1250 shaft failure

My new 1250 ADV only 6 weeks old, drive shaft splines failed at only 294 Kms is this a common problem

Not a very helpful reply to a genuine issue but might get a better response in 1200/1250 LC section. To answer your question though that's not a common problem. Get it back to your dealership, should be covered by the warranty or maybe enough of an issue to reject the bike if you wanted to go that route...
 
I'm confused, this post is in the 1200-1250-GS-Watercooled section so what's the issue with it been here :nenau
 
Phew... glad I did mine, looks like I had a lucky escape waiting until 600 miles.

Plenty on, front and back, it's the only way.

Thanks you all for the help , told by the sales rep. By phone RAIN setting on a dry road would load the shaft , I was doing 15 km in first gear , when the shaft splines gave up

That’s what he said when he call me back a few hours ago , and they would not consider replacing the bike , these things happen he said
