Couldn’t find a specific forum page!

Anybody got one? Seen one that I really like but obviously can’t test ride it and don’t want to make a 5 figure faux pas

Yes I’ve got the F900xr Te spec. Swapped it for my 1250, the xr is a lovely bike easy to ride and lighter for moving around the garage, had it since September just over 1000 miles, plenty of accessories available.

The gps bracket is a Givi that screen was a Puig touring which I have now sold, I bought the powerbronze double screen as it has lots of adjustments. I also added the rear hugger from powerbronze.

Cheers 10tenmen. The jury is very much out amongst the YouTube collective

One guy (Rocketman) got rid of his quite quickly and was very scathing against both the bike and the dealer.

I have liked the F900XR ever since I first saw the release pics, it just looks “right” to me. I have been trying to get a test ride for over 12 months but my local BMW dealer is rubbish, I know COVID got in the way, but I don’t think they want to sell any bikes! The only thing that bothers me is the relatively small fuel tank, what kind of range are you getting?

I gave up in the end. I called Williams Manchester 3 times and left a message for someone from sales to call me. I even sent a PM to one of their team via this very forum.

Having previously bought from them I was rather disappointed TBF

Those pannier racks look hideous. Didn’t they do something similar with the S1000XR.

There was a very favourable big test review in a recent edition of Bike magazine. They thought it was an excellent bike and reckoned it deserved the moniker of a modern day VFR800...

As an owner mine mine has developed a clutch fault and is in the dealers since 20th May awaiting a replacement clutch new design and also a new design sump, estimated return date mid June, so far I have been given a new RS1250 and now a R9T, tomorrow a new 1250RT until mine is repaired.

I’ve just swapped my R9T for an F900 XR TE
Pleased so far, great handling feels nimble but very planted
Bought a comfort seat to improve things
Mines “fully loaded” came with BMW fitted sat nav holder which I may reposition
Get some buffeting with the screen up. Less with it down…I’m 6 feet tall.

Sounds good! The F900XR is on my radar too. What kind of fuel range/consumption are you getting?

^^^It’s very good- fill it up and it’s showing 240-250 miles range which seems very probable
It has pretty good mid range shove too
I’m pretty sure I’m going to bung on for a puig or similar touring screen for better noise reduction.

Having tried a few screens and finally found the perfect one was the Mra vario works really well, still not got the bike back from taking it to the dealers on the 19/04 as it needs a new design sump that is on back order.
BMW UK a have given me this 1250RT for the duration.
