Beyond saving?

This is the ledt rocker cover.

Is it beyond saving? Quite deep pitting 1mm+

Not sure how it got like that, was it enthusiastically shot blasted?
Short of buying a new one I would be filling that with some body filler(if you can verify it won’t explode with the temps it will get to), rubbing it down and spraying it-you’ve done the hard work already!
 
could you perhaps smooth in with some liquid metal filler , sand down and then re spray ?

Not shot blasted. The right one is ok, this left one is bad. Can only think stone chips and salt.
 
I've just splurged and got two new ones coming from Germany. There will be a lucky purchaser of the bike with two new valve covers.
