After losing four & half stone since last March I decided I wouldn’t look to silly on one, so bit the bullet and took delivery of la Bella Machina last Friday. 2019 with less than 3,000 miles from Pro Twins in Godalming. It’s had the de-cat and has some shove! It also happens to sound amazing, but it does encourage me to ride like a twat! :green gri:D
Seat is surprisingly comfortable, TFT is great, brakes are sharp and the sound (did I mention that already?) is intoxicating ;) Such fun to ride.

What comes across when you look at this bike is the design, the Italians lead the world and the rest of the manufactures just follow along. Most are years and miles behind! Congratulations on your weight loss and your new bike addition

Duuu -fkn-Cati....Italian bikes all the way - there is something wrong with you if you don't fancy a go on that.

Nice one..;)

Yeah I had a chat with Pro Twins about that and they talked me out of it due to the dcat. Tbh it’s sounds gorgeous as it and runs so smoothly. I still can’t get over the shove on this little thing. I’m going to focus on the suspension as it’s all fully adjustable. My best mate is an Ohlins technician and has offered to re spring it for me and adjust everything up for my weight. No need for full Ohlins.
Thanks to everyone for the comments. I have to admit I’ve avoided Ducati’s (and Italian bikes in general) all my riding life, but I’d now have to consider alternatives to the GS for the longer distance stuff.

I have a hankering for one of these if and when we move to Devon. A few year old ones can be had for around £5k now and I think that is a great price

They're fantastic bikes, very naughty and a huge laugh.

Dash cameras in other people's cars worry me because my 848 rides as if it has Viagra in its fuel and encourages hooliganism!
