Excess

I've been looking at quotes for my insurance on a 2018 GSA.
Quotes are fine at sub £200 fully comp but all the quotes have enormous excess costs. £700 on average.
Anyone else finding this?

Not as high as that but the defaults have crept up in recent years. You can usually change the parameters on search engines to lower the excess but of course the premium goes up.

I have a £450 excess on my XR with Axa via Devitt, premium £110; for my R1200RS the excess is just £175 with Aviva via Devitt, premium £153. Both policies bought within a month of each other in June/July last year. Premiums were probably lower as I think both had cashback from Topcashback as well. I don't live in Glasgow, though

I also have a high excess. I buy excess cover. £50 for a year of £1000 cover for any vehicle. Only way I can get a decent insurance rate (combined, its cheaper than other quotes). See covermyexcess or other sites for deals
