Hi Guys,

Some of you may remember me posting this a couple of years ago?

Well it’s taken a while as I had to build a brick garage for somewhere to do the work, plus I’ve had to wait ages to get hold of some of the parts.
Anyway, last week he (Billy) started on the absolute first kick and runs pretty good.

I thought I’d better take a few photos now while he’s nice and clean, as it can’t be too long now before I can throw him at some mud, trees and rocks!

(I’d tried adding these onto the old posting but nobody has seen them.)

A few more...

For the purists, ...not that many of the parts were manufactured in the Birmingham Small Arms Company!

For the realists, ...this should be a lightweight, reliable and competitive little pre-65 trials bike.....err..that is when it’s in the right hands? :D

That's a beaut, well done.

My old 175 Bantam looked nothing like that.

I could wreck that in about 5 sections after no trial for a year :D

That looks beautiful .... but the seat can't be very comfortable :D

Good job, well done :thumb

:beerjug:

That looks cracking :okay wouldn't like to clean it after a few muddy sections though!

Don't remember the original picture but you've made a damn fine job of that, good on ya:thumb2

Kimbo

MMmmm . . . very nice!
Mate of mine who’s very handy rides a rather special 180 Bantam with some trick bits he’s mostly done himself!
No mean rider either!

This ain’t no ordinary bantam motor, however the crank is original, plus a few of the gears :D

I'd be interested in the mods inside, the outside looks special. I snapped a crank in a Bantam, many years ago.

Seats looks torture

REH forks ?

Johnny, you know that the seat is only there for parking.......actually it’s not at all bad, the 3 anodised aluminium fairing screws are buried well down. I’m quite pleased with the way it came out, some self adhesive closed cell foam off eBay, and some pvc seat covering also from eBay, the tricky bit was trying fold it around the curves without getting any wrinkles.:)
